In 2018, former e-commerce executive Eli C. saw his son’s graduation marred by an unorganized mess of coats, backpacks, and lunchboxes piling up on classroom floors. Fragile metal hooks had snapped under the weight, leaving jagged edges that tore through fabric—and sometimes even skin. Concerned about his son’s learning environment, Eli sought a safer solution and discovered Toughook. When the school dismissed his recommendation, Eli was undeterred. Being the perfect opportunity to showcase how strong and lasting these hooks are, Tony asked the gym to put them to the test. The climbing gym responded by creating a climbing wall out of them. After selling thousands of hooks to educational furniture retailers. It was time for these unique hooks to evolve.
